This one-day seminar will explore the methods needed to quantify the dosage and safety characteristics of retroviral and lentiviral vectors.  Representatives from industry, academia, and government will present the latest testing methods and discuss the challenges now facing the production and characterization of these materials.

Technical Focus

Our goal is to develop recommendations for guidelines that can be adopted by industry and academia, and can be endorsed by the regulatory agencies.  Another key objective is to advance the development of testing reference materials for these types of vectors.

To maximize attendee interaction and benefit, the meeting format will provide ample discussion periods for analysis of the oral presentations.  Speakers are being selected for their ability to provide the most meaningful data and to give a broad view of the issues.  Our goal is to assemble the right mix of industry, academic, and government speakers for what promises to be a very enlightening meeting
